“I could start and then stop by just saying that Robin is wonderful and we are so pleased with the work and professionalism of Capstone.”

That is true, but that alone, does not begin to describe the entire experience we had with Capstone. We started this project because my husband has ALS and will eventually be using a wheelchair. Robin’s interest in trying to make the lives of those who are aging in place better is remarkable. Not only does he have the knowledge of all things ADA, he has years of experience in the industry (and with NKBA), and deep personal experiences dealing with seniors. He is a good listener and translates needs tempered with his good advice to create, in our case, accessible bathroom vanities and a wall of Great Room cabinets. He was meticulous in going over cabinet measurements, drawings, and selections. His sage advice lead to moving the ever popular over-the-fireplace TV to a built in to the left and lower so my husband will be able to view the TV more easily without stress to his neck muscles. The overall appearance of this wall of built-ins is marvelous and unifies the room in a way it was not beforehand. Our remodeled bathroom is completely accessible for my husband now and did not sacrifice elegance and gained functionality. All the cabinets are beautiful. I love them. Pricey, but then you get what you pay for. We would use Capstone again in a heartbeat!”

"In August 2017 we were recommended to Rob Weeter. We lived in New York and had just acquired a home in North Carolina that needed some upgrades. We had a budget in mind and we sat down with Rob to discuss a kitchen renovation.
Rob immediately went to work on a plan. He visited the home and made some recommendations. In a few days we had a plan. It was exactly what we were looking for. We then picked out cabinet styles and granite. Rob was exactly on the money and the project came in right on budget. We were given a date for the cabinet delivery and they arrived right on time. Along the way, Rob would contact me in New York to inquire if we had any questions or issues and sometimes make a suggestion. I can not express to you how beneficial the Age Explorer demo was for my students last week! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to our design students about kitchen layout, current trends in the industry and how to design for Aging in Place. Although our students have learned about the biological changes that occur during the aging process, the Age Explorer demo allowed them to experience it first hand and become more empathetic in their design solutions. This experiential learning opportunity truly gave them a MUCH better understanding of what it means to have blurred vision, neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and the like. After wearing the Age Explorer gloves, my students have said things like, “Wow, those gloves really hurt and I will certainly be more mindful when shaking my grandpa’s hand from now on!” The yellowing and blurring of vision was another real eye-opener for the students. They had not realized what that did for older person’s ability to see (or not see) certain colors. They now have a much better understanding for the need for contrasting colors and WHY there is a need. Again, I can verbally tell them this information until I’m blue in the face, but their take-away was so much more significant when you allowed them to learn this information FIRST HAND with the Age Explorer Suit! I truly appreciate you taking the time to speak to our students and I am thrilled that many of them will be using your cabinet line for their projects too!”
